The Hampton by Hilton Hotel on the South Shore in Blackpool has opened a new extension that accommodates additional guests.

Originally built in 2018 as part of the first phase of Blackpool Council’s regeneration of the South Shore, the extension to the Hampton by Hilton sees 74 bedrooms added to the original 130, forming part of the continuing improvement of the area’s hospitality offering.

The hotel extension, which doubles the footprint of the building, provides larger kitchen and dining areas, a new ‘grab and go’ breakfast bar, more flexible meeting spaces and additional parking.

The hotel will continue to offer a free breakfast and WiFi, with the bar and lounge remaining open 24 hours a day.

The hotel said guests will also now benefit from the most up-to-date interior design and room specifications.

Gill Mathison, co-owner and brand director for the hotel, said: “Since we first opened our doors in 2018, the hotel has been extremely successful. This is a testament to our outstanding team and the quality of the Hampton by Hilton brand. We believe that our investment in the extension will improve the customer experience for both our leisure & business visitors alike.”
